The UAE Pro League, originally founded in 2008 as the “UAE Football League,” has grown into the official governing body responsible for organizing top-tier professional football competitions in the UAE. After operating under the UAE Football Association from 2011, the league received its current legal status in 2019, formally recognizing it as an independent juristic entity.
Representing 14 professional clubs, the UAE Pro League’s General Assembly elects its board every four years. As the organizer of major competitions, including the ADNOC Pro League, ADIB Cup, EMAAR Super Cup, and the Pro League U23, the UAE Pro League oversees all commercial, marketing, broadcast, and digital rights associated with these tournaments.
